Where these terms are translated, the English version governs.
By using Afrilingua (“the service”) you agree to these terms. Afrilingua is operated by Afrilingua AI (“we”, “us”) and runs across mobile, web, and desktop.
Two features inside Afrilingua are referenced throughout these terms:
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in jurisdictions where that's the relevant threshold) and provide accurate sign-up information. You're responsible for activity under your account. Don't share credentials. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
If you configure your own API keys for model, voice, or other providers, you are responsible for the agreement you have with that provider, including pricing, rate limits, and acceptable use. We pass requests through under the credentials you supply.
Gist is the social network inside Afrilingua, built on the open AT Protocol. Content you post is signed by your portable identity and may be replicated to other servers in the federated network. Public posts are public globally and we cannot recall them from third-party servers once federated. You retain ownership of your content; you grant us the licence necessary to host, transmit, and display it as part of operating the service.
Sandboxes are ephemeral. We are not responsible for code, data, or builds you fail to commit before a sandbox expires. Don't store secrets in a sandbox you don't already have backed up.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, model-provider outages, and force-majeure events may cause downtime. We will publish a status page when material outages occur.
Afrilingua offers free and paid features. Prices, billing intervals, taxes, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the displayed interval until cancelled. You can cancel through the platform where you purchased the subscription; access normally continues through the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and the policies of the payment platform used for the purchase.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or threaten the safety of the service. We will notify you when feasible and offer an export window where appropriate.
Afrilingua is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Afrilingua AI is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
We will update this page when our terms change. Material changes will be announced in-product before they take effect.
