After you pay: what the statuses mean
Every order moves through a small, fixed set of stages, and the app updates while you watch it.
When you paid by card
- Pending
- The order exists, the payment has not landed. Usually a few seconds; longer on bank-transfer rails.
- Paid
- Your money has moved. The seller now owes you the thing.
- Fulfilled
- The seller says it is on its way, or ready, or handed over. Tracking, where there is any, appears here.
- Completed
- You confirmed you got it — or fourteen days passed and it completed itself.
- Refunded
- The money went back to you. One thing out of a bigger order can be refunded on its own — say it was not on the shelf — while the rest carries on.
- Cancelled
- It ended before any money moved. Nothing was charged.
When you asked a seller directly
Some things are arranged rather than bought outright — you ask, the seller agrees, and you settle between yourselves. Those go: requested, accepted, fulfilled, completed. A seller can also decline.
Your stamp cards
Shops that run a loyalty card stamp it when you buy from them — in the shop or here. Orders has a Cards tab with every card you hold and how close each is to its reward. Stamps you earned before you had the app, on a card you tapped or an email you gave at the till, turn up the first time you sign in with that card or verified email.
The clocks running in the background
Nothing sits forever waiting on a human who has stopped answering.
- 24 hours
- An order that was never paid cancels itself.
- 24 hours
- A request the seller has not answered nudges them, once.
- 48 hours
- A request still unanswered cancels itself, and you are told.
- 14 days
- A fulfilled order you never confirmed completes itself.
Live updates
While you are signed in and have the app open, order and delivery stages update by themselves. You do not need to pull to refresh, and both sides of your orders list stay current — not just the tab you happen to be looking at.
You are notified at every stage, including the two that matter most on a run: when your runner reaches the shop, and when they have your things.
