Doing a run
Claim, shop, prove it, deliver, prove that. The proof is what pays you.
The stages
- Claim it. It is yours; nobody else can take it.
- At the shop. Mark it, and the buyer is told you have arrived.
- Bought. Photograph the receipt — you cannot move past this stage without it.
- Delivered. Photograph the drop — you cannot finish without it either.
- Done. Your money is released.
The proof rides the stage that needs it rather than being filed separately, so the fact and the evidence for it are recorded in one go and cannot drift apart.
Scanning as you shop
Once you have marked yourself at the shop, Scan as you shop opens the camera over the list. Scan each thing as it goes in the bag and its line ticks itself — the buyer watches every one land on their own screen.
A barcode counts once while you hold it up. For a second pack of the same thing, take the first away and scan the next, or tap the line's circle. A line the buyer typed in their own words has no barcode to match, so tap its circle when you have it.
If you scan something that is not on the list — the 1kg when they asked for the 2kg — the app names it and ticks nothing. Look again for what they chose.
Shopping for several people on one trip? Each of them is a tab at the top. A scan goes to whoever's tab is open, because each of them has their own bag.
Something is not on the shelf
Do not substitute it. Tap Not here on its line. If the buyer paid up front, the app asks you to confirm and then gives that line's money back to them straight away. If you are paying at the till, you simply do not buy it and they are never charged for it.
A refund is recoverable. A jar of something they did not choose is not, and it is not your call to make on their behalf.
If you cannot finish
You can cancel at any stage, including after you have bought the goods. That is a real situation and the app does not pretend otherwise — but it is recorded as a cancellation with goods already purchased, so the money question is never silent.
What you may not carry
- No alcohol.
- No tobacco or vapes.
- No prescriptions.
- No hot restaurant food.
- Frozen goods are fine, with an insulated bag.
