Finding work
Three ways a job reaches you, and one guarantee: every job you can see is already funded.
How jobs reach you
- Sent to you
- Someone picked you from your page. Only you can claim it.
- Your circles
- Offered to the social graph before the wider board.
- The open board
- Anyone in range can claim it. First to claim gets it.
A shop's own delivery arrives the same way — as a job you accept or decline, at a price already set.
The three tabs
123- My runs — what you have taken on and not yet finished.
- Board — open work anyone in range can claim. First to claim gets it.
- Requests — jobs sent to you by name. Only you can take these.
Every visible job is funded
The buyer's card is authorised when the job is posted, not when you claim it. A job that failed to fund never becomes visible at all.
This is the single most important property of the board for you: you are never the person who finds out at the till that a card declined. Card problems happen in front of the buyer, before you have committed anything.
What you are being told before you accept
- Which shop or shops, and where they are.
- The list, and how many items.
- The distance you are being paid for.
- The fee, split into the shopping part and the travel part so the bill reads like a bill.
- Whether the shop is bagging the order or you are picking it.
Jobs that expire
- A shop's delivery
- Two hours. Somebody paid for delivery and is sitting at home waiting, so it cannot linger.
- A board job
- Three days. Nobody is wronged by it sitting there.
