Opening it up and sharing it
Private, link-only, or listed publicly. The link works for people with no account, which is the point.
Three levels of who can see it
- Private
- You, your co-admins, and anyone you send an invite link to. Turn the link off and it stops working.
- Unlisted
- Works for anyone with the link, but stays out of browse and search. The usual choice for a wedding or a family thing.
- Public
- Listed where people who are not already invited can find it.
Announcing
Announcing puts a card in the feed for people who follow you and flips the event public in the same step.
The link is the product
Send the link to anyone. It opens without an account: they read the details and get a ticket with just an email address.
That is deliberate. Asking somebody to make an account before they have decided to come loses most of them, and the ones you lose are the ones who were only half sure — which at a party is most of the room.
If they make an account later with the same email, the tickets they already hold move into it on their own once they verify that address.
Sending tickets to a list
Invite guests from the event's manage sheet to hand out tickets yourself — a guest list, the band's plus-ones, the committee. Add people by email or by their account, up to a hundred at a time.
- Each person gets a confirmed, free ticket and their code by email, with nothing to fill in.
- Invites count against the event's overall capacity. Anyone past it is skipped and listed back to you — so if your limits are set per pass only, set an overall capacity too.
- An address that belongs to a verified account lands straight in that person's app.
