Your page and your handle
Your handle is your name here and your page's address. Every page is public, so it shows only what you choose to put on it.
Your handle
You pick a handle when you first set up. It shows as @yourname, and it is also your page's address: gist.afrilingua.ai/@yourname.
- Three to forty-eight characters: lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, starting with a letter or number.
- You can change it once a day.
The moment you change your handle, the old one is free for anyone else to take — and links to your old address stop pointing at you. Change it before you print it, not after.
What is on your page
Your name, photo, banner and bio, the posts you pinned, and the sections you add — your shop, your events, a booking link, your links. You arrange it; nothing appears on it that you did not put there.
- Only posts you shared as Public show on your page. Followers-only, circle and only-me posts never do.
- Your shop and booking cards never show your phone number or email.
- Your age band and gender, if you gave them, are never shown to anyone.
There is no private page
Every page can be opened by anyone with the link, and pages can be found by search engines. There is no setting to hide it. What you control is what is on it — and every post has its own audience, set when you post it.
