Choosing how buyers get their things

Five ways: they collect, you drive, a courier drives, a runner drives, or you post it.

The five methods

Collection
Free, everywhere, no setup. Your address and hours do the work.
You deliver it yourself
You set a radius and a flat fee, and you can waive it above a spend. Works everywhere; needs a car and a person, and nothing else.
A courier
We book a third-party driver. Needs your shop to have its own courier account, which you set up from the business hub.
A community runner
Someone from the pool collects and delivers. Needs neither a courier account nor a car of your own — which is why it reaches supply the other two cannot.
Postage
A flat rate you set, or live carrier rates when a provider is configured and both addresses have postcodes.

Your own delivery

You name a radius, a flat fee, and optionally a spend above which you absorb it. The fee is computed from your settings when the order is placed, never from anything a buyer's device sends, and it goes to you in full — we take nothing from it.

Runner delivery

This one works differently to the others on purpose: you switch it on, and we price it. You do not name the fee.

The price comes from what runners near your shop already charge for that trip — the middle of their own published rates, not a wage we invented. A runner still accepts or declines the job like any other.

There is no free-delivery threshold on this method, and trying to set one is refused rather than silently ignored. Waiving it would post the job at zero, no runner would ever be sent, and a buyer who paid would simply never be brought their things.

It is also the only method with a coverage check. It depends on a stranger having published a service area that reaches you, so it is offered to a buyer only when somebody actually covers your shop.

Courier delivery

Your shop gets its own account with the courier company rather than a slot in one anonymous platform account, so your name is on the pickup and your delivery history is yours.

That account is the switch, not a garnish: until it exists, delivery stays off and you are told why. It is created only from the explicit Connect action, never as a side effect of another save — it registers your business with a third party under your name.

You can cap what a courier delivery may cost. That cap is your promise about a price that would lose you the sale, and our service fee is deliberately outside it.

Postage

Set a flat postage price, a default parcel weight, and optionally a spend above which you cover postage yourself. Where live rates are available, buyers choose a carrier and service at checkout.

You are paid the postage; you are not sold the label. Buy postage on your own tool with the money you were paid, and enter the tracking number when you mark the order fulfilled.
