Listing something
A price, photos, how many you have, and how it travels. It is buyable the moment it is public — unless you point it at a shop elsewhere.
What a listing carries
- Price and currency
- Only currencies we can both collect and pay out in are offered. If one you expected is missing, that rail is switched off rather than mistyped.
- Photos
- The first is the one that travels — into the feed, into a link preview, into search.
- How many
- Stock comes down when an order is paid, not when someone adds it to a bag. Bags do not hold stock.
- How it travels
- Which of your fulfilment methods apply to this item. A heavy thing need not offer postage just because your shop does.
- Parcel weight
- Optional, and only matters for postage. Without one, your shop's default parcel weight is used; without that, a flat rate applies.
Public means buyable
Bringing in a catalogue you already have
If your stock already lives somewhere else, it can be brought in rather than retyped. Photos are copied rather than linked, so what appears in your shop keeps working even if the original is taken down.
One consequence worth knowing: an image copied into one shop belongs to that shop. The same photo cannot be shared as the live image of two different shops.
Things you cannot sell here
Beyond the ordinary rules, the delivery pool has its own limits: no alcohol, no tobacco or vapes, no prescriptions, and no hot restaurant food. Those apply to what a runner may carry, so an item like that cannot use runner delivery even if you can otherwise sell it.
